11/16/2012 - Second graders from Cummings Elementary School listen to U.S. Air Force Airmen read stories during Native American Heritage Month at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Nov. 15, 2012. Volunteers from around the base read Native American stories to various classes. The month-long observance began in 1990 when President George H. W. Bush approved a joint resolution designating November "National American Indian Heritage Month.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Kia Atkins)
