To begin your travel inquiry, PCS travelers will receive a port call worksheet and circuitous travel form from MPF outbound assignments. We do not provide those directly. For separations and retirements, we will provide these forms.

Please visit the Automated Passenger Reservation Tool to submit your passenger travel request and upload all applicable documents pertaining to your travel. If you are having difficulties, please reach out to our office at DSN 315-447-8757 or email us at 647lrs.lgrd.passengertravel@us.af.mil.

If you plan on deviating from your authorized route for official travel, you will have to utilize circuitous travel. Fill out the circuitous travel memorandum and send it to our org box with a copy of your orders.

TDY & Deployment Travel

All members that are tasked for a TDY must submit all travel reservations via DTS. After exhausting all other options to book travel, members are then allowed to submit a Passenger Travel Request and their orders (CED/DTS). Orders MUST be approved prior to submitting requests. If you are a part of group travel or deploying, please coordinate with your unit deployment manager to gather more information prior to contacting our office.  If you have any questions regarding your DTS authorization/voucher, contact your approving official (AO) or resource advisor (RA).

Members that will be taking leave in conjunction with official travel (TDY) must fill out a Leave in Conjunction with Official Travel (LICWO) letter before self-procuring leisure travel.

Pet Travel

While SATO will do their best to find a carrier that can accommodate your pet, it is NOT guaranteed the carrier will accept your pet. Once the itinerary is created, it’s the traveler’s responsibility to confirm their pet with the airline. It is also the traveler’s responsibility for shipping their pet with a third-party shipping company if the airliner is unable to accommodate their pet.

FAQs

Am I allowed to book my own travel for PCS or TDY? Booking your own travel for PCS or TDY is generally not permitted. The Authorizing/Order-Issuing Official (AO) must approve self-booked travel, adhering to DoD and Air Force travel regulations.

What do I do if my travel is delayed or cancelled? Who should I contact? Contact the number for 24/7 SATO assistance located on the bottom of your itinerary.

What is the circuitous travel process? Circuitous travel is any non-direct route to, from, or between OCONUS points for personal convenience or leave. TMO does not approve circuitous travel. Travelers must submit the TMO memorandum to MPF for official approval.
