Chief Master Sgt. Heath Tempel relinquishes his position as senior enlisted leader of Alaskan NORAD Region, Alaskan Command, and command chief of Eleventh Air Force to Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Helms during a combined headquarters change-of-responsibility ceremony at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 11, 2026. Presided over by Lt. Gen. Robert Davis, commander of ANR, ALCOM, and 11th AF, the ceremony marks the formal transfer of trust and responsibility for the welfare, readiness, and morale of the joint force across the region.
