Pacific Angel - Mongolia
Delgerkhaan, Mongolia - U.S. Air Force veterinarian, Maj. (Dr.) Douglas Riley of 13th Air Force, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii watches as Mongolian Armed Forces veterinarian, Capt. Giantugs Gialtmaa examines a sick cow at a dairy farm in Ulziit, Mongolia, while in Mongolia on July 21 in support of Pacific Angel-Mongolia, a 13th Air Force led combined humanitarian assistance operation. This is the fourth year of Pacific Angel, but the first time the operation has been hosted n Mongolia. The operation helps cultivate common bonds and foster goodwill between the United States, Mongolia and other regional nations. In addition to veterinary training, a clinic is being refurbished and medical outreach events are being held in Ondorkhan, Delgerkhaan and Tsenkhermandal soums of the Hentii province from July 18-23. Tripler doctors renew Indonesian lives
PEKANBARU, Indonesia – A surgeon from the Tripler Army Medical Center, from Honolulu, Hawaii, operates on a 47 year old local Indonesian during operation PACIFIC ANGEL 11-3 here, June 15, 2011. PACANGEL is a series of joint/combined humanitarian civic outreach efforts training conducted in the Pacific. This humanitarian and civic outreach training program is aimed at improving military-civic cooperation between the United States and Indonesia. The operation consists of several civil military assistance programs to include medical civic assistance programs (MEDCAP/DENCAP) with focuses on general health care, dental, optometry, women’s health, and pediatrics. Also included is the engineering civic assistance program (ENCAP), with focus on structural, plumbing, and electric repair of medical clinics and schools. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. COMPACAF to be inducted into the Order of the Sword

The "Order of the Sword", patterned after orders of chivalry founded during the Middle Ages in Europe, is presented by the enlisted corps and is the highest honor awarded to officers. Through the ages, noncommissioned officers have honored their leaders and pledged loyalty to them by ceremoniously presenting them with a sword that served as a token for all to see and know that here was a leader amongst leaders and a man amongst men. Japanese Self Defense Forces and U.S. military members recently gathered together on the tarmac at Sendai Airport, Japan. U.S. Airmen, Soldiers, Marines and Sailors rolled up their sleeves with their Japanese counterparts to clear debris from the runway and surrounding areas of the airport after the March 11, 2011 tsunami in order to begin relief aircraft operations. Sendai became a major hub for delivery of relief supplies to the affected areas. Pacific Air Forces Airmen have generated more than 400 aircraft missions and delivered approximately seven million pounds of cargo as of April 6, 2010, in support of Operation Tomodachi. U.S. Air Force Airmen completed their restoration mission at Sendai April 4. The Sendai airport is scheduled to reopen for civilian commercial flights on April 12.
