Kim, 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron flight commander, Yokota Air Base, Japan, alongside PACAF Command Chief Master Sergeant Kathleen M. McCool, during the 2024 PACAF Outstanding Airman of the Year ceremony in the Courtyard of Heroes on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii, June 11, 2024. Kim led 77 Airmen and 99 Japanese nationals across 4 different Air Force Specialty Codes to support PACAF's premier logistics hub. PACAF honors 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year
Pacific Air Forces Commander, Gen. Kevin B. Schneider, presents the PACAF Honor Guard Member of the Year award to Senior Airman Christopher P. Gutierrez, 554th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineer Squadron structural journeyman, Andersen Airforce Base, Guam, alongside Chief Master Sergeant Kathleen M. McCool, Pacific Air Forces command chief, during the 2024 PACAF Outstanding Airman of the Year ceremony in the Courtyard of Heroes on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, June 10, 2024. Gutierrez led pre and post-typhoon efforts by placing sandbags around the Honor Guard's facility, protecting the building and $800,000 in assets, restoring operations in less than 24 hours. He also rendered military funeral honors at 4 burials, completed 21 secondary details, and guided a guard formation during the firing of 3-volleys for the Wreaths Across America, earning an Air Force Sergeants Association Member of the Quarter award and Senior Airman below the zone.
