96th ARS inactivates after five years at JBPHH

The 96th Air Refueling Squadron was reactivated on July 23, 2010, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, in response to an increased demand for in-flight air refueling support throughout the Pacific theater. Since its reactivation, the 96th Air Refueling Squadron flew more than 1,800 sorties, totaling over 6,500 hours and offloading more than 36-million pounds of fuel to thousands of joint and multinational aircraft. Hickam completes Warrior Day training
Two U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III from the 535th Airlift Squadron fly in formation over the north shore of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, July 31, 2015. Aactive duty and Air National Guard Airmen joined forces in a Warrior Day to demonstrate the cooperation and capabilities of total force integration. Training simulations included combat maneuvers in a hostile environment, air drops, and refueling operations. It also included an engine-running crew change of three of the C-17s.
