Exercise Pacific Endeavor Workshop
CHANGI VILLAGE, Singapore (Aug. 26, 2010) A multinational military team with military representatives from the U.S. Navy, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia put together a disaster planning strategy during Pacific Endeavor workshop. Pacific Endeavor, hosted by U.S. Pacific Command and the Singapore Armed Forces brought together 16 Asia-Pacific countries, members of the humanitarian community and private industry. Final Training Mission for F-15 at Hickam
JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii - F-15 Eagle pilot, Lt. Col Mark "Odie" Ladtkow of the 199th Fighter Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii zips up his flight suit before conducting his last F-15 training mission on Aug. 25 at Hickam. The 199th is transitioning from the F-15 to the F-22 Raptor, which is a fifth generation fighter. The 199th has flown the F-15 since 1987 and received their first two Raptors on July 9, 2010. U. S. military members from the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command arrive at Tarawa, Republic of Kiribati, on Aug 6 , 2010 with the help of a C-130 crew from the 374th Airlift Wing, Yokota Air Base, Japan. The crew picked up the JPAC team in the Kwajalein Atoll Islands to ensure the team could start their mission on time of recovering remains of Marines from the WWII Battle of Tarawa where a total of 6,000 men from U. S. and Japan lost their lives. The Battle of Tarawa was the first amphibious assault to be carried out by the U. S. Marines and the 2nd Marine Division led the way. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech Sgt.
