Pacific Angel - Mongolia
Pacific Angel-Mongolia U.S. medical planner, Air Force Master Sgt. Ashly Erickson, and Mongolian medical planner, Army Major Naranzul Tumurbaatar, were interviewed by regional and local media from Hentii province during medical outreach services at Tsenkermandal clinic. This is the first Pacific Angel in Mongolia from July 18-23, 2011. A joint and combined team of 130 Mongolian, U.S., and Sri Lankan military medical providers, engineers, and support staff, along with Project Hope and interpreters, are providing health screenings, veterinay, and engineering projects in Tsenkermandal, Delgerkhaan, and Jargaltkhaan remote villages and in Ondorkhaan in Hentii province. Pacific Angels cultivate bonds and foster goodwill between the U.S. and Asian-Pacific countries through capacity-building in humanitarian assistance. Pacific Angel - Mongolia
Hentii province regional and local media interviewed Mongolia U.S. Ambassador John Addleton while he visited the medical clinic site at Tsenkermandal village. He also visited the engineering construction site in Tsenkermandal and the outpatient clinic in Ondorkhaan city. This is the first Pacific Angel in Mongolia from July 18-23, 2011. Pacific Angel - Mongolia
Operation Pacific Angel-Mongolia's ger base camp is approximately 175 miles east of capitol city, Ulaanbaatar. This is the first Pacific Angel in Mongolia from 18-23 July, 2011. Traditional gers (tents) accomodate 130 Mongolian, U.S., and Sri Lankan military medical providers, engineers, and support staff, along with Project Hope and interpreters. Delgerkhaan, Mongolia – A tooth is prepped for pulling from a young Mongolian boy by U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jose Cardenas, a native of Hildalgo, Texas and currently assigned to the 8th Medical Group, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea and Major (Dr.) Rebecca Neitzke, a native of Grand Rapids Minn., and currently assigned to Kunsan AB, ROK, while at the two-day multinational mobile clinic in Delgerkhaan, Mongolia on July 20 in support of Pacific Angel-Mongolia, a 13th Air Force led combined humanitarian assistance operation. Tripler doctors renew Indonesian lives
PEKANBARU, Indonesia – A surgeon from the Tripler Army Medical Center, from Honolulu, Hawaii, operates on a 47 year old local Indonesian during operation PACIFIC ANGEL 11-3 here, June 15, 2011. PACANGEL is a series of joint/combined humanitarian civic outreach efforts training conducted in the Pacific. This humanitarian and civic outreach training program is aimed at improving military-civic cooperation between the United States and Indonesia. The operation consists of several civil military assistance programs to include medical civic assistance programs (MEDCAP/DENCAP) with focuses on general health care, dental, optometry, women’s health, and pediatrics.
