June 8, 2026 International Flight Safety Experts Convene in Colombo for ISAFE 2026 The Indo-Pacific Safety Air Forces Exchange – Colombo 2026, co-hosted by the Sri Lanka Air Force and the U.S. Pacific Air Forces, was successfully conducted May 11-14, 2026, at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Colombo, in line with the SLAF 75th Anniversary celebrations.

Feb. 21, 2019 Sri Lanka Air Force, JASDF, meet with USAF Search and Rescue Representatives of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) and Japanese Ministry of Defense participated in a trilateral search and rescue (SAR) exchange hosted by the 459th Airlift Squadron, Yokota Air Base, Japan, Feb. 13, 2019.The exchange was a free flow of information regarding SAR practices between the
