Royal New Zealand Air Force Sgt. Max Sands-Schrooder, a No. 40 Squadron air load master, relays information over the internal communications system of RNZAF C-130J Super Hercules aircraft flying within the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex during exercise RED FLAG-Alaska 26-2, June 3, 2026. No. 40 Squadron provided tactical airlift support to the 11th Airborne Division, enabling airborne operations in a realistic combat environment. RED FLAG-Alaska enhances combat readiness by bringing together joint, coalition and multinational forces in realistic training scenarios that strengthen interoperability and mission effectiveness.
