The supplies were used for recovery operations after Super Typhoon Yutu. The strongest tropical cyclone to pass over Saipan and Tinian in the CNMI, equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane. This trip was Chaiyapruk’s first official visit outside of Thailand since taking command. During the briefing, the two countries discussed their involvement in exercises such as Cobra Gold and Cope Tiger.
