Staff Sgt. Matt Magnussen sets up a parachute and life rafts May 1, 2006 for a water survival refresher course being held at the Hickam Harbor on Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. The course provides hands on realistic training for aircrew members, which covers subjects on survival equipment, life raft familiarization, parachute disentanglement and rescue techniques. SSgt Magnussen is the life support instructor from the 15th Operations Support Squadron. He is responsible for training all active duty and Air National Guard aircrews on Hickam.
