The United States Air Force Band of the Pacific - Hawaii entertained more than 50 visitors at the Hale Koa Hotel with holiday cheer Dec. 11.

"It was fun," said Staff Sgt. Tamiko Boone of Rockingham, N.C., one of the two band vocalists. "Anytime we do something like this, I know they will appreciate it because the retirees remember what it is to be in the military and appreciate our performance that much more."

"They did an outstanding job," said retired Col. Richard Thomas of Hawaii. Colonel Thomas retired in Hawaii with his wife, Keiko, and said that he comes to the Hale Koa every year during the holiday season.

"I like to see people visiting from other states and the veterans appreciate young people serving," said Staff Sgt. Richard Vasquez, a native of Midland, Texas and a percussionist and vocalist.

After the applause, audience members had the opportunity to meet with the members of band.
