Pacific Airlift Rally 2015 is underway at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 22 through 28.

Pacific Airlift Rally is a biennial, military airlift symposium sponsored by Pacific Air Forces for nations in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. This year marks the 10th iteration of the PAR exercise series, which began in 1997.

PAR 15 will use a Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief scenario to provide participating nations the opportunity to cooperate, interact, and advance airlift topics specific to the region. Exercise-related events include informational seminars and expert briefings, a command post exercise that addresses military airlift support required during natural disasters, and a field training exercise that builds upon the command post exercise. These exercises advance interoperability and cooperation between Indo-Asia-Pacific nations and promote partnership-building among military airlift planners, aircrews and maintenance personnel.

Command post exercise participants include: Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand Tonga, Vietnam and the U.S.

Field training exercise participants include one U.S. Air Force C-130H Hercules with the 374th Airlift Wing from Yokota Air Base, Japan; one U.S. Air Force C-130H and one U.S. Air Force HH-60G with the 176th Wing from JBER; and one Royal Australian Air Force C-130J Hercules.
