Pacific Air Forces names 2010 Total Force Outstanding Airmen of the Year

PACAF officials here April 12 announced the command's top enlisted members, naming the 12 Total Force Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2010.

"It is with great pleasure that Command Chief Master Sgt. McLean and I announce on behalf of the command, PACAF's 2010 Total Force Outstanding Airmen of the Year," said PACAF Commander Gen. Gary North.

The Airmen were chosen from among Headquarters PACAF and numbered Air Force personnel, as well as Guard and Reserve nominees. Winners were selected based on superior leadership, job performance, significant self-improvement, personal achievements, and community involvement.

PACAF Active Duty Honorees
Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Aaron Chartier, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii
Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Anthony Graham, Eielson AFB, Alaska
Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Senior Master Sgt. Leslie Pratt, Andersen AFB, Guam
First Sgt. of the Year: Master Sgt. Robert Schultz, Yokota Air Base, Japan

PACAF Air National Guard Honorees
Airman of the Year: Senior Airman David Rivera, Guam Air National Guard
Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Master Sgt. Michael Quitugua, Hawaii Air National Guard
Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Master Sgt. Kyle Marshman, Hawaii Air National Guard
First Sgt. of the Year: Master Sgt. Ryan Voigt, Alaska Air National Guard

PACAF Reserve Honorees
Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Bree Davis, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii
Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Orzechowski, Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska
Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Master Sgt. Josephine Taitague, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii
First Sgt. of the Year: Master Sgt. Tara Course, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii

PACAF's award winners will be recognized during the Outstanding Airmen of the Year Week at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam April 26-30. They will also compete at the Air Force level for the 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year to be announced this summer.

"Our very best to all the award winners who competed in the process," said Gen North. "As well, to our Airmen and their families for their service, dedication to the mission and sacrifices in the Pacific Command area of responsibility and while globally deployed."
