MISAWA CITY, Japan -- Staff Sgt. LaTasha Compton, 35th Medical Group, reads an oath to Mr. Kazunori Otsuka, Misawa City vice mayor, Mr. Kiyoshi Koshikawa, Misawa City chief of police, and Mr. Yoshinori Kohiyama, Aomori Prefecture assemblyman, at Misawa City civic center July 27. The oath declared that Misawa Air Base personnel will strive to reduce and prevent traffic safety accidents this summer season.

Since U.S. service members make up a significant portion of the Misawa community, city officials invited base personnel to attend this event.
