Reason for nomination: "Tech. Sgt. Jason Martinez and Senior Airman Justin Gordon were responsible for the organization and execution of the first 8th Fighter Wing combat fitness test. The CFT mirrors the test taken by the United States Marine Corps annually as part of their fitness testing requirement. Martinez and Gordon organized and trained a more than 10 member instructor cadre who oversaw the three separate events that made up the CFT. Additionally, they worked with various base agencies in order to procure the necessary equipment for the course, ensure onsite medical support, and ensure pre and post event publicity.

More than 150 Wolf Pack Airmen completed the grueling event over a four hour period. This event was an outstanding success promoting the warrior culture that makes the Wolf Pack a lethal fighting force." -- Capt Bill Lutmer, 8th OSS
