Four Edgren High School culinary arts students prepared breakfast for approximately 10 Air Force first sergeants and a Navy senior enlisted advisor during the Family Advocacy quarterly appreciation breakfast at Misawa Air Base, Japan, April 18, 2012.

The 35th Medical Group Family Advocacy Program and Mental Health Flight took time to recognize the first sergeants' and senior enlisted advisors' contributions to tend to the needs of Airmen and Sailors.

"The first sergeants do a lot to facilitate mental health for their Airmen and Sailors," said David Powell, Family Advocacy Program outreach manager. "This gives first sergeants the opportunity to meet the voices on the other end of the line."

This quarter's breakfast coincides with The Month of the Military Child observed in April. April is also observed as Child Abuse Awareness Month.
