Duty Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description/mission statement: Directs and performs civil engineering design, drafting, surveying and contract surveillance to support Air Force facility construction and maintenance programs. Prepares manual and Computer Aided Design drawings, specifications and cost estimates. Develops, operates, and maintains Geographic Information System modules. Utilizes surveying technology to include Global Positioning System. Evaluates potential construction sites and performs field tests on soils, asphalt and concrete.

Female inspiration and why? Cataleya Restrepo's character from the movie Colombiana. I've always wanted to be proficient with weapons. All my dreams at night, since I was young, literally consist of me being a female hero with guns saving people. She was determined to do whatever it takes to accomplish her mission in life. I want to have that courage to take risks and face more adventures and challenges. Bottom line, I want to be stronger in all aspects as I grow older.
