OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- The 25th Fighter Squadron at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea is the sole close air support fighter squadron on the peninsula. The A-10 is designed for close air support and forward air control capabilities, and is a vital component of mantaining stability in Korea.
