ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Air forces from around the world are arriving in Guam to participate in Cope North 2025, scheduled for Feb. 3-21, 2025.
Cope North 2025 is a multinational field training exercise sponsored by U.S. Pacific Air Forces. The exercise focuses on conducting Combat Air Force/ Large Force Employment, or CAF/LE training, in a contemporary scenario to enhance trilateral fifth-generation interoperability.
The U.S., Australian, and Japanese air forces serve as the trilateral exercise leads, establishing command and control and organizing training for the multinational task force. Exercise activities will take place at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, and in the surrounding airspace.
Cope North debuted in 1978 to enhance combat capability and improve warfighter integration between the U.S. Air Force and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Originally held in Japan approximately four times a year, the exercise moved to Guam in 1999.
