Republic of Korea Air Force Brig. Gen. Yeon Ju Ryou, ROKAF Chief of the Military Police Agency, visited the Pacific Air Forces to meet with leaders and Airmen from the Security Forces Division to strengthen collaboration with U.S. Air Force security forces, Nov. 13, 2024.

Brig. Gen. Ryou worked with U.S. Air Force Col. Jacob Foley, PACAF Security Forces Division chief, to discuss opportunities for ROKAF military police to participate in future events and exercises aimed at enhancing operational capabilities.

“These engagements are critical for our mutual readiness and security,” Foley said. “Visits like these allow us to share expertise and reinforce the strength of our enduring partnership.”

As part of the visit, Brig. Gen. Ryou toured the 647th Security Forces Squadron Military Working Dog kennels for a K-9 demonstration and attended a combat arms showcase at 154 SFS Armory.

“Getting defenders together from different militaries and countries is always a beautiful thing,” Foley said. “We’ve been partners and allies for nearly 75 years, and we’re always eager to make that partnership even more fruitful.”

The visit also emphasized the Pacific Defender program, which enhances security forces’ capabilities across the Indo-Pacific region, along with highlighting the longstanding alliance between the United States and the Republic of Korea.
