YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Three C-130J Super Hercules aircraft assigned to the 36th Airlift Squadron took off from Yokota Air Base, Japan, Oct. 23, in support of Exercise Beverly Morning 24-1.
As the only regional airlift transportation hub for personnel and cargo, the 374th Airlift Wing exercises regularly to maintain uninterrupted high-paced joint and allied operations if deterrence fails or disaster strikes.
With the skilled operation of the 36th Airlift Squadron, Yokota aircraft maintains a forward presence and supports combat operations by providing responsive movement of personnel and equipment through aerial delivery and assault air-land operations.
The C-130J Super Hercules is the prime transport for air-dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas and can operate from nearly any landing zone that meets its launch and recovery requirements.
