Enrollments for new officer professional military education distance learning students will be back on-line on Sept. 6, 2022.

The distance learning programs for Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College and Air War College have been closed for enrollments and graduations since July 7, 2022, in support of the Air University-wide transition to the new Learner Environment Design-Student Information System.

Officer PME distance learning students who were registered before the July 7 date have been able to continue their coursework during the transition, but database migrations and systems testing have prevented new enrollments.

The new LED-SIS will provide online students with real-time access to admissions, graduation certificates and transcript processes.

“Once registered for OPME distance learning, students will continue to benefit from AU's commitment to quality, relevant education anywhere at any time through the ongoing partnership between the Global College of PME and Arizona State University,” said Lt. Col. Michael Manning, vice commandant of Global College of PME.

Air University's officer and enlisted PME programs are developed, managed and taught by Global College of PME faculty, but course content is delivered through the Arizona State University’s enterprise system and enhanced with access to over 130 digital learning technologies.

Students can also enroll now through the Global College of PME to beta-test the admissions process and gain early access to the program.

The college will be hosting a webinar to support the official launch of the officer PME programs at 2 p.m. (CST), Sept. 6, 2022, on the Air University Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/TheAirUniversity).
