Pacific Air Forces Command Surgeon hosted a two-day Aerospace Medicine virtual knowledge exchange with medical experts from the Royal Australian Air Force and Royal Thai Air Force, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, November 23-24, 2020.

The exchange focused on highlighting current best practices in aviation medicine and patient movement to enhance aircrew safety and patient care.

“During this pandemic, virtual knowledge exchanges with our allies and partners allows us to continue to discuss various military medicine topics and share information,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Rudy Cachuela, Pacific Air Forces command surgeon. “More importantly, this constant dialogue and interaction show commitment, builds trust, and advances relationships. These events will allow us to respond more efficiently and effectively to future real-world contingencies as coalition nations.”
