Units from the United States, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Republic of Singapore will participate in the Cope Tiger 2019 exercise in Thailand, March 11-22, 2019.

Approximately 150 U.S. service members will participate in the exercise along with approximately 1,000 service members from Thailand and Singapore. The trilateral exercise will involve a combined total of 76 aircraft from the three participating countries.

Cope Tiger is an annual trilateral aerial exercise aimed at improving combat readiness and interoperability between the Republic of Singapore Air Force, Royal Thai Air Force, and U.S. Air Force, while concurrently enhancing the three nations’ military relations and combined capabilities.

In addition, the trilateral community assistance programs conducted during CT19 help promote good relationships between the three countries’ forces and Thai communities near Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base.

The annual Cope Tiger exercise series demonstrates the U.S. commitment to our Thai and Singaporean partners and to addressing regional security challenges and ensuring freedom of navigation through multilateral collaboration.

Cope Tiger 2019 marks the 25th iteration of the annual exercise. The U.S. has participated in the annual Cope Tiger exercise series since 1994.
