U.S., Australia air forces participate in PITCH BLACK 16

Exercise PITCH BLACK 2016 (PB16) is a biennial warfare exercise hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Chief of Air Force with forces drawn from a wide range of regional, coalition and allied nations. The exercise is normally held in Northern Australia, predominantly based at RAAF Base Darwin and RAAF Tindal. PB16 allows participant nations to exercise deployed units in the tasking, planning and execution of Offensive Counter Air and Offensive Air Support while utilizing one of the largest training airspace areas in the world.  The exercise is scheduled from July 29 to Aug.19, 2016.
