JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii -- Aircraft and personnel from the 5th Reconnaissance Squadron, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, deployed to Kadena Air Base, Japan, May 30th and the evening of May 31st.
Scheduled runway construction at Osan prompted the temporary relocation of four U-2 Dragonlady Aircraft and approximately 180 personnel.
While at Kadena the 5th RS will continue to fulfill their intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission and provide continued support to U.S. allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
