On December 8th, 1941, just hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese bombed Wake Island. After a 15-day siege, the US finally surrendered the island over to the Japanese. 75 years later, we're here to recognize the civilians and service members who gave their lives fighting for the island.
