Celebrating Women's Equality Day at Osan

U.S. Air Force Tech Sgt. Leslie Disch, 51st Operational Support Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of weather training, poses for a photo as a part of Women’s Equality Day at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aug. 17, 2023. Disch analyzes weather conditions, prepares forecasts, issues weather warnings and briefs to pilots. She observes, records and transmits space environment observations; reads and interprets weather satellite imagery; and ensures the training for her unit is handled properly. Women's Equality Day honors the movement for universal suffrage that led to the 19th Amendment, celebrating the progress of women over the years, and renewing our commitment to advancing gender equity and protecting women’s rights. Everyday, the 51st Fighter Wing continues this legacy of progression, by ensuring female Airmen are equally represented and respected in workplaces across the installation.(U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Aaron Edwards)
