Restored aircraft signifies recovery from disaster

Members of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force gather in front of an F-2 Fighter aircraft for a picture at Misawa Air Base, Japan, April 22, 2015. The F-2 Fighter aircraft took its first flight from Komaki AB, Japan, to Misawa Air Base after being damaged at Matsushima Air Base, Japan, during the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami in 2011. Because Matsushima is still undergoing the recovery process, six of the restored aircraft will be deployed to Misawa for pilot training.
