Athena Cody, right, wife of Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James A. Cody, and Betty Welsh, wife of Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark A. Welsh III, Marlo Nikkila, Wet Hens treasurer, and Gillian Carlisle, wife of Gen. Hawk Carlisle, commander of Pacific Air Forces, practice tying knots with the spouse's sailing club, 'Wet Hens', at the Outdoor Recreation Center on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Aug. 19, 2013. The Wet Hens teaches military spouses how to sail, but more importantly they partner monthly with The Pacific Yacht Club to host wounded warriors from Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, for sailing sessions and lunch. The visit to Hawaii is part of Gen. Welsh and Chief Cody’s first visit to the Pacific theater and includes stops in Alaska, Japan and the Republic of Korea. Mrs. Welsh and Mrs. Cody met with family members and spouses to discuss opportunities and challenges regarding family care in the Pacific region. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Matthew McGovern)
