Royal New Zealand Air Force Karl Waiaraki points out calculations he made to fabricate an auxiliary power unit inlet door target sensor for a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III at RNZAF Base Ohakea’s Maintenance Support Squadron Structural Repair Bay Nov. 13 in Ohakea, New Zealand. Waiaraki fabricated a 4-inch metal plate to repair a malfunction on the C-17 which was causing the aircraft to be grounded.
