United States Air Force Senior Airman Alyse DeNittis (left) and Senior Airman Chelsea DiMarco provide a safety briefing to Royal New Zealand Air Force and New Zealand Army passengers during Exercise Kiwi Flag at RNZAF Base Ohakea, New Zealand, Nov. 21. The personnel are being transported to New Zealand’s South Island on a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III to support another exercise. Kiwi Flag is a multilateral RNZAF-sponsored tactical airlift exercise conducted in New Zealand. The Royal Australian Air Force, Republic of Singapore Air Force, and the French Armed Forces of New Caledonia also participated. DeNittis and DiMarco are both loadmasters deployed to the 517th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron from the 517th AS at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. DeNittis calls Charleston, S.C., home; DiMarco hails from San Antonio. Kiwi Flag personnel also provided cargo and passenger airlift including tactical air drops to Exercise Southern Katipo, New Zealand Defence Force’s largest-ever multilateral joint force amphibious exercise with eight other nations participating.
