Arctic Aggressor Maintenance

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Crew chiefs assess what changes are needed on a newly arrived Block 30 model F-16 Aggressor to withstand temperatures below zero Jan. 30, 2008. Eielson is currently receiving 10 of 21 block 30s from Kunsan AB, Korea, and giving Kunsan the previous block 40s. The Eielson maintainers have to assure that the aircraft are able to withstand the constant arctic temperatures and do so by maintaining and changing out worn down parts when necessary.
