Comforting the wounded

Staff Sgt. Melanie Duffy, a medical technician with the 88th Medical Group at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, makes a "patient" comfortable in the Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility during the Pacific Lifeline. In a wartime scenario, the CASF would treat wounded military personnel with injuries ranging from broken arms to severe trauma. Pacific Lifeline is a humanitarian assistance disaster response exercise held at three different locations in the Hawaiian Islands and runs through Feb. 9. (U.S Air Force photo/Capt.
