KADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa -- Airman 1st Class Patrick Lorensen, 733rd Air Mobility Squadron air transportation specialist, removes chains used to tie down cargo pallets before loading them onto a C-17 Globemaster III, Feb. 8. The 733rd AMS loaded medical supplies, food rations and cold weather gear onto this C-17 from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, and another from Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, bound for China. Recently, 19 Chinese provinces experienced the most severe winter storms in 50 years, imposing severe hardships on millions of Chinese citizens.
