Students are introduced to the METI, iStan, patient simulator in preparation for the validation exercise during EMEDS Course training. Controlled wirelessly by an instructor, the iStan patient simulator provides true to life anatomical articulation, the skin mimics human skin; real chest, heart and bowel sounds; the ability to excrete fluids; along with simulating jugular vein distention and bilateral chest movement.
