INDONESIA -- Staff Sergeant Felita Rowe gives a high five to a group of students from the SDN-3 school in Indonesia July 5th. The school is being built entirely using donated funds. In a surprise move, audience members helped contribute the final funds necessary to complete the school, which originally was a three room building serving over 300 students. The new school will be three stories tall and will not only hold classes for students from lower income families, but will also serve as a training center for teachers and have a community activities center. The Air Force Band of the Pacific Asia rock band Pacific Trends was in Indonesia for the American Embassy Fourth of July event and was invited by the Embassy to perform for the school.
