Sergeant Hart is an explosive ordnance disposal technician with the 15th Civil Engineer Squadron. This regular training prepares EOD techs for situations they face overseas. The EOD career field was named Air Force Team of the Year for the first time in 2009 for clearing more roadside bombs than any other service in Iraq and Afghanistan - 1,915, according to Air Force officials.
