EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Staff Sgt Theodore Marx, 354th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, looks on as an F-16C Fighting Falcon is armed during End of Runway (EOR) duties here on Feb. 8. The EOR crew is responsible for arming all weapons and making sure the aircraft is ready for flight. The F-16 is assigned to the 18th Fighter Squadron. The 18th Fighter Squadron conducts air operations for combat-ready F-16 aircraft and provides close air support, forward air control (airborne), battlefield air interdiction, and offensive counter air.
