BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Chaplain (Capt.) Dave DePinho prepares to board a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter on his way to a forward operating location in Iraq. The wing's chaplains are responsible for offering spiritual care to Airmen assigned here and to forward locations wherever they may be. They are accompanied by chaplain assistants who provide protection and security, as well as ministry support for the chaplains who are considered non-combatants.
