A deployed B-52 finally returns to home station after a very long Koa Lightning sortie. The BUFF’s aircrews are on duty from 22 - 24 hours at a time when their flight time is combined with pre-flight and post-flight briefings. While this makes for a long day, it mirrors the conditions bomber crews would see in actual combat. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Master Sgt. Mahmoud Rasouliyan)
