Reaching a milestone

KUNSAN AIR BASE, South Korea -- Lt. Col. Mark Kling rejoices after reaching the 2,000-flight hour mark in the F-16 Fighting Falcon Sept. 20 here. According to the Web site www.f-16.net, more than 500 F-16 pilots world-wide have achieved the 2,000 hour flying distinction in the "Viper," as the aircraft's known to those who fly it. After climbing down the ladder of the aircraft, Colonel Kling said "I've been flying for a long time, and the one thing that's remained constant are the pilots that fly them. It's been an honor to fly along side them." Colonel Kling is the 8th Operations Group deputy commander. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Steven R. Doty)
