EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska-- Various members of the U.S. Air Force assigned to Eielson and Elmendorf Air Force Bases, Alaska, stand under a canopy around a warm fire and discuss various topics while awaiting the start of the second day of the Arctic Survival Training Course on Nov. 15, 2007. The survival course teaches members how to survive in a severe cold climate. The course consists of shelter building, identifying safe food found in nature, how to stay warm, and how to correctly signal for help. The Arctic Survival Course is conducted at Eielson AFB by the members of Det. 1, 66 Training Squadron. (U.S Air Force photo by Staff Sgt Eric T. Sheler)
