De-Icing off the top

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Snow is blown off the tail of a KC-135, part of the de-icing process Dec. 12, 2007 on the Eielson flightline. Due to the arctic conditions and the continuous snow fall during Alaska's extended winters, Eielson maintainers are on constant standby to assure all aircraft are ready for take-off at moment's notice.
