Thomas Ikehara, from the Hawaii Air Support Operations Center, under the 25th Air Support Operations Squadron, is being hosted up a helicopter during a simulated downed pilot scenario as part of exercise Balikatan 2010. Balikatan is an annual bilateral exercise designed to increase interoperability between the U.S. and Philippine air forces, and exercises the two nation's ability to operate together when responding to natural disasters.
