Master Sgt. Wesley Matthews, 15th Medical Group first sergeant, monitors the progress of eight Airmen who were marching more than 69 accumulated miles in their combat boots while carrying a stretcher to honor the pain and sacrifice that Americans went through 69 years ago during the attacks on Hickam Field and Pearl Harbor. On the stretcher was the uniform of a World War II veteran, neatly displayed, along with a folded American Flag. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Mike Meares)
