Australian International Airshow

A visitor takes a photo of the F-22 Raptor during the 2011 Avalon International Airshow in Geelong, Australia, March 4, 2011. The event is one of the largest airshows in the world. In addition to the F-22, several other U.S. Air Force aircraft were displayed at the event including the B-1B Lancer, the C-17 Globemaster III, the and the C-130J Hercules. The airshow serves as an opportunity for U.S and senior military officials to engage with their Australian counterparts, and ultimately contribute toward interoperability between the forces.
