Pacific Angel - Mongolia

In support of the first Operation Pacific Angel in Mongolia, locally purchased pharmaceuticals are fully-loaded in a van headed for a clinic in Tsenkhermandal village in Hentii province, Mongolia. A joint and combined team of 130 Mongolian, U.S., and Sri Lankan military medical providers, engineers, and support staff, along with Project Hope and interpreters, are providing health screenings, veterinary, and engineering projects in Tsenkermandal, Delgerkhaan, and Jargaltkhaan remote villages and in Ondorkhaan city from July 18-23, 2011. Pacific Angels cultivate bonds and foster goodwill between the U.S. and Asian-Pacific countries through capacity-building in humanitarian assistance. In its fourth year, Pacific Angels are planned and executed by at 13th Air Force at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. (Air Force photo/Lt. Col. Tracey Saiki)
